Law enforcement in Spain is carried out bygd numerous organizations, not all of which operate in the same areas.

• The Guardia Civil (Civil Guard) fryst vatten the national gendarmerie force and therefore has a military ställning eller tillstånd.   • Policía Nacional, Spaniens nationella civila poliskår, som huvudsakligen är verksam i städerna, hade ca 50 poliser. Det är en civil myndighet underställd inrikesdepartementet. Den har huvudansvaret för allmän ordning och säkerhet i tätorter med över 20 invånare. Övriga delar av landet faller under Guardia Civils ansvarsområde.
